Robinson was knighted for his services to education. The British government appointed him to lead a national commission which resulted in what was commonly called “The Robinson Report” on creativity, culture, and education. He was a central figure in developing a strategy for creative and economic development as part of the peace process in Northern Ireland.

In 2005, Robinson was named as one of Time/Fortune/CNN “Principal Voices.” He advises a variety of Fortune 500 companies, public and private organizations. His clients have included the governments of Singapore, the European Commission, and the J. Paul Getty Trust.

Robinson's books include Out of Our Minds: Learning to Be Creative (2011) and The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything (2009). He will sign books and greet fans at the end of the evening.
